Who doesn't own a classic Breton Stripe shirt? Why should your home miss out on this casual staple made famous by the French Navy?
The Breton Stripe was originally introduced in 1858 as the uniform for all French navy seamen. It's a classic stripe that doesn't date.
Breton Stripe is great to use on bench cushions or to cover an armchair. It's narrow vertical contrasting lines also look smart on blinds and cushions. You can also run the stripes horizontally, making it a versatile stripe.
Fabric Pattern
Our Breton Stripe design features rows of coloured stripes that run vertically down the fabric on a white background. The white background will either be white or off white depending on which fabric you choose.
Each stripe is 5mm thick and the space between the stripes is 3cm. The horizontal pattern repeat is 3.5cm.
Raspberry is a deep pink. It feels vibrant and reminds you of summer. See all our classic colours here - Our Colours
Please note: our Breton Stripe is printed on one side of the fabric only. It is not a woven design.
