Who doesn't own a classic Breton Stripe shirt? Why should your home miss out on this casual staple made famous by the French Navy?
The Breton Stripe was originally introduced in 1858 as the uniform for all French navy seamen. It's a classic stripe that doesn't date.
Breton Stripe is great to use on bench cushions or to cover an armchair. It's narrow vertical contrasting lines also look smart on blinds and cushions. You can also run the stripes horizontally, making it a versatile stripe.
Our Breton Stripe design features rows of coloured stripes that run vertically down the fabric on a white background. The white background will either be white or off white depending on which fabric you choose.
Each stripe is 5mm thick and the space between the stripes is 3cm. The horizontal pattern repeat is 3.5cm.
Graphite is a dark, solid grey. It feels strong but is timeless. See all our classic colours here - Our Colours
Please note: our Breton Stripe is printed on one side of the fabric only. It is not a woven design.
Breton Stripe can be printed on any of our quality base cloths. You can see our collection of base fabrics here - Our Fabrics
Our fabric is digitally printed to order. Please allow 3-4 weeks for printing and delivery.
As our beautiful fabrics are made to order especially for you, we recommend you order a sample first so you can see the fabric quality and colour for yourself before ordering meterage.
Just like a Breton Stripe shirt pairs perfectly with a navy blazer or denim jacket, our Breton Stripe works well with our Coastal Designs and florals.
